Neighborhood cop gives away $30 Gift Certificates to Buckley’s Fine Filet Grill!
As you can see, playing neighborhood sheriff is in my blood! My name is Ken Dick. Not only am I the partner of Buckley’s Fine Filet Grill, I am your NEIGHBOR! That’s right... I am the guy with the wooden cows pulling Santa across my yard at Christmas time.
I grew up in this neighborhood. I have lived in Germantown Trails since third grade, attend-ed Farmington Elementary, Christian Brothers High School, and graduated from Christian Brothers University. It is ironic that the wooded area that I once played cowboys and Indians is now the street I live on and I have been elected the neighborhood association security.
Security? I asked the very same question when I was drafted into this position. First thing I asked...Does it come with a golf cart and a shiny badge? Remember that I was drafted for this and loving this neighborhood, I could not say NO! I am the person that you go to when one of your neighbors break some code and I am suppose to report it to the city. Yeah Right! I am not a RAT!
What I am is a neighbor that loves his neighborhood and gets along with pretty much everyone! I believe that if you have a problem with a neighbor sit down like neighbors should and chat!

Remember those luminaries at Christmas?...Yep your neighborhood association paid for the bags, candles, sand, and volunteered time to execute so we could have something to be proud of....and wasn’t it beautiful evening?

Lost ANIMALS... When “MURPHY” wandered one day around the neighborhood, a post on the email found the owners. Web site is provided and maintained by the GTNA!
Suspicious People soliciting door-to-door... Led to a neighborhood watch via email alerts and caused people to open their eyes and watch over their neighbors. YES....GTNA
Chilly Cook OFF... Imagine 45 kinds of chili and prizes to the champions! YOU BET... GTNA Each neighbor pulls out their top secret chili recipes and offers their delicious concoctions to their friends for sampling. GTNA supplied a clown for face painting, Fire trucks from the Germantown Fire Department, and a visit from the Parks and Recreation with their friend the One-Eyed Owl! A great way to meet new people in your neighborhood!
Christmas Party.... Hey where else can you break free for a little holiday cheer and only have to drive a block home? GTNA sponsors a fantastic holiday party where they also elect the upcoming year officers.... This is where I was elected.... If you were only there you would have voted NO I am sure!
OctoberFEST... when was the last time you and your neighbors pulled out your lawn chairs, toted your favorite beverage out into the middle of the cove, and grilled brat wurst? This party was so much fun it went into the late evening.
I have been in the restaurant business for over 18 years! I have seen a lot of restaurants come and go...just like I have seen lots of neighborhoods go!
