GT COOKOUT / BLOWOUT!
WE BEAT THE HEAT AND HAD AN AWESOME TIME AT JOHNSON ROAD PARK.
Well, it took a lot of planning and a lot of running around, but the event went off without a hitch. We had great attendance and signed up several new members. Stay tuned about National Night Out, our next scheduled event.
If you have any desire to help out with the event, please contact Dick Vandenberg at dvandenberg@transactiongraphics.com or John Davis at jdavis@cybergraphics.com
GARAGE SALE: As you may already know, our Neighborhood Garage Sale was a huge success. I heard reports of over 45 houses participated. We had a great turnout and the rain held off until we were finished. I personally was impressed with the amount of traffic that we saw.
Friday night was also fun. I noticed Tonda walking around giving out the balloons and we did a walkabout as well. It looked like a few families decided to combine their efforts into one sale since some did not have enough stuff to sell to have their own sale.
I want to thank Tonda Griffin for all of her hard work. She has made our first annual Garage Sale a success! Please stay tuned for details on next years event.
EASTER ART / COLORING CONTEST: April 10th - In conjunction with the Easter holiday we will have an ART contest for the kids. Recent Block Captain's Dinner: We recently had a dinner to recognize our Block Captains at Angie Hinton's house. Things discussed at the dinner was to inform them of our recent Board Meeting notes. All but three block capatins were in attendance with their spouses. We had an excellent time and also put them to work. For instance, they were the judges for our Easter/Spring Drawing Contest.
